Headway Guernsey is a local charity supporting islanders and their families who are living with the long-term effects of a brain injury. We provide a range of services that bring people together in a supportive environment helping them on their road to recovery to a life back into the community.

Services

  • Through regular sessions at Headway House, brain injured islanders can rebuild their confidence, learn new skills, relearn lost skills and support each other. We run cognitive, physical and social programmes, working closely with the brain injury team at PEH and their support services which has spread our reach further in the island. We run a range of cognitive, physical and social sessions across the week from our base at KGV in Castel.
  • Headway also runs a helpline offering information and advice and provides the opportunity to talk to others who have been through similar experiences.
  • There is a regular programme of social events and information evenings and an active family support programme
